We’re back from vacation and getting into our normal routine after a week away. Our time in Texas was really great and I’m thankful for all the adventures, time spent with dear friends, and celebrations with my family. It was a really perfect trip back home.
After late nights, trips around Texas, plenty of afternoon naps, and lots of delicious Mexican food, getting back into the swing of things is both difficult and desired all at the same time. After flying home yesterday afternoon and settling in at home, I ran over to OrangeTheory for the 7PM workout. It was a really tough workout (sprints on hills), but definitely what I needed to jump start my return home.
On my way back from OrangeTheory I stopped by the grocery store to pick up lots of produce, a few Triple Zero yogurts, ground turkey, hummus, and bread. I didn’t do any meal prep for the week ahead last night, but I do have meals planned for the next few days. Scrambled eggs with veggies and toast for breakfast, Greek yogurt chicken salad and lettuce for lunch, and various protein packed snacks (eggs, yogurt, protein bars). Our dinners are planned out, but I have a good sense of what I’ll make this week.
Workout wise, I have all of my workouts planned for the week.
- Monday – OrangeTheory
- Tuesday – Workout at work
- Wednesday – OrangeTheory
- Thursday – Workout at work
- Friday – OrangeTheory
- Saturday – FitFoodie 5K (If you’re in DC, there’s still time to sign up!)
- Sunday – Rest day
I’m looking forward to getting back into the swing of things and to working on my overall lifestyle. My vacation definitely recharged me and I’m ready to tackle the week ahead.
