Although it is hot, hot, hot here in DC, it really has been a beautiful week! This week has been anything but normal, but in the end, it really was a great week!
Saturday and Sunday – Relaxed, worked out, ran errands, hand friends over, cooked, etc.
Monday – Celebrated Memorial Day at the Nationals baseball game
Tuesday – Worked and went to football practice
Wednesday – Worked from home and was on SportsTalk
Thursday – Worked and went to football practice
Friday (today) – Work, dog part, and a little carb loading for tomorrow’s football game against Pittsburgh
Week 4 of my 7 week challenge went really well. Looking back, I feel good about the decisions I made and the workouts I did.
Saturday – 60 minute spin class and 90 minute football practice
Sunday – 30 minutes on Arc Trainer and 2.5 mile walk with Neal and Theodore
Monday – 10 minutes on spin bike and BodyPump class
Tuesday – 2 hour football practice
Wednesday – Rest
Thursday – 2 hour football practice
Friday (today) – Rest
Looking back over my meals this week, I feel good about when I ate, what I ate, and for the most part how much I ate. I made healthy meals with produce from our CSA, I used portion control when eating out at the baseball game and at Lost Dog Cafe, and I did not eat any dessert after the long weekend.

I was bummed when I stepped on the scale today but then again, I’m not. I’m proud of my week, especially it being my first week back to full football practices.
One thing that has really helped me during the day is to pack a healthy lunch for the work. Kelly Wilson, an Independent Consultant for Thirty-One Gifts, sent me the CUTEST thermal lunch bag to use and I have loved using it every day to bring in my lunches.
Whether I’m bringing in a salad or leftovers, I like having a bag big enough to hold my Ziploc containers, as well as any snacks or beverages I might bring with me (KIND bars, seltzer water, fruit, etc.).
I really love the Cinch-It-Up Thermal Tote because …
a. How cute is this pattern?
b. It holds a lot
c. It keeps my lunches really cold (fully insulated)
d. It is really durable
Thiry-One Gifts is a new to me company but I’ve really liked looking through their catalog! I have my eye on the Organizing Utility Tote to use in the trunk of my car and at $30… you really can’t beat that!
Kelly is also offering 10% off to any Coffee Cake and Cardio reader. All you need to do is to e-mail Kelly at Kelly.M.Wilson@me.com with your order and she’ll take off 10%!!
As we close out week 4, one of y’all have the chance to win a Cinch-It-Up Thermal Tote from Kelly! By leaving a comment about your week, your weight loss, your fitness, etc., you will be entered in to win!!
I will choose a winner on Sunday, June 2, 2013. Giveaway is now closed.
Congratulations to Ronna for winning the giveaway!! Ronna said “I just rejoined weight watchers this week and got in some kickboxing yesterday and my legs are so sore today!!! Since I go to school all day it would be AWESOME to have a thermal tote like this! hope I win!!”
So tell me, how was week 4?
Just 3 weeks until the first day of summer!!
