Our Baby Boy – He’s doing really well! I forgot to take a bump picture this week, but I loved getting this ultrasound picture at our last visit. I can’t wait to meet this little guy!
Thoughts and Feelings – This was a tough week. I didn’t feel great physically, had long work days, and really lacked motivation around the house. It was just a blah week! With 10 more weeks ahead of us, I need to get back on track. Plan out some meals, do our grocery shopping, tidy up the house, and continue to get good workouts in. Some weeks of pregnancy are harder than others, but I hope I have more good weeks ahead of me before I get too big and the weather gets too hot. At least I got lots of Magnolia snuggles this week!
Movement – Baby boy is still moving a lot! He actually worried me last weekend as he was pretty mellow. I wasn’t feeling all that great myself, so I think he may have been lethargic as well. I tied it back to my TDAP shot, it just took a lot out of me for whatever reason. Since then, the baby has been really active! At my last appointment he was still head up, so he’s definitely kicking my bladder and groin area a lot.
Symptoms – This was a tough week symptoms wise. I started my 29th week of pregnancy feeling really lethargic. I was really sleepy and just didn’t feel good. On Monday, I woke up with a little headache, but it went away later that day without Tylenol. The headache came back Tuesday, still mild, but Tuesday night my head started throbbing. I took some Tylenol, which didn’t help, so I started to think it was tied to my diet (missing something) or my hydration. Wednesday was a really rough day. My headache just wouldn’t go away and my head was literally throbbing. Thankfully I woke up Thursday feeling fine, but this past week was a rough week physically. I do have some stressful things going on right now, so it could be tied to that, but who knows. I’m feeling pretty good today, so hopefully the symptoms of this week are behind me.
Glucose Test Results – I passed my 28 week 1 hour glucose test, which was great. I thought everything would be ok, but you just don’t know until you get the results back!
Upcoming Appointments – I’ll now have appointments every 2 weeks, which is wild! My next appointment is this coming Thursday (week 30!!).
Diet – I didn’t do a good job of planning out meals this week and even the dinners I did have planned, I lacked energy/motivation to cook dinner after work this week. I didn’t eat horrible, but I just didn’t feel good this week. I ate out a few times this work week, but ate at home almost every night. I need to get back to eating more veggies, so that’s my goal for the week ahead.
Food Cravings – Honestly, the only thing I craved this week was beer and margaritas. I think that has more to do with my stress levels and less to do with pregnancy. I could have used an iced cold beer Thursday night for sure! I did buy this mix from Trader Joe’s… mocktails anyone?
Workouts – I got two great OrangeTheory workouts in this past week and hit my step goal each day. I didn’t workout outside of OrangeTheory, aside from a few evening walks with Neal and Magnolia, but I’m feeling good. I’m still getting really solid workouts in at OrangeTheory.
Sleep – I’m still sleeping well. My back was a little achy this week each morning, but once I got moving, I was fine. I ended up sleeping on the couch two nights, thanks to late night Capitals hockey games, but it was nice switching up how/where I’m sleeping.
